How do I get started with Slixa?

It’s very easy to join and get listed on Slixa quickly. We summarize everything below and provide links to more details if you’d like specifics.

We’ve built our entire advertiser area to be highly intuitive and simple to use, however if you would like to get a taste of how easy it is, we’ve prepared a quick overview of the process:

Join Slixa

  1. Log into e.slixa.com/join
  2. Fill out the Join Form and click on the “Join Slixa” button.
  3. *Note: We do not share this information with any third parties and only your stage name will appear on your Slixa profile.
  4. Congrats, you now have a Slixa account!
  5. Check your email! We’ve sent you an activation email that requires immediate action.

Build Your Slixa Profile

  1. Your email activation link sent to your email will take you to your Slixa Profile page. It will walk you through an easy process to build your profile by uploading photos, adding text and selecting relevant fields. Your Slixa Profile is the “meat and potatoes” of your Slixa account and beautifully represents the information and images you want the public to see.
  2. Click the “Save and Publish” Button to preview what you’ve done and follow instructions that guide you to the next step - placing your ad!

Place Your Ad(s)

You are now ready to place your ad(s) and appear in public search results! An ad is simply a visual link (e.g., a thumbnail image) that directs site visitors to your profile page. There are a variety of options available to stand out from the crowd through our upgrade options.

  1. Click on the blue “+New Ad” button to get started.
  2. Choose “Local” or “National”, the country or city, and ad type.
  3. Select photos for your thumbnail, categories and availability then save.

Using your Slixa account you will now be able to simply log in and:

We believe in keeping upgrades reserved for things that give you the most bang for your buck. After all, if virtually everyone upgrades due to an overwhelming number of options, the value of the upgrade is diluted. Therefore we offer only two types of upgrades, profile upgrades and ad upgrades. Both are exceptional choices for squeezing maximum exposure from the Slixa website and for driving even more visitors directly to your profile page.

What are the available Ad types?

Slixa Basic

What it is:

Far from “Basic”, we give you a thumbnail 4 times the size of a listing and bigger than most other sites. Basic ads rotate through all the non secure positions for equal placement in your city.

Slixa Premium

What it is:

Our Premium upgrade ensures your ad will stand out among the others in your city, with a thumbnail twice the size of our Basic ad type. Its position on the page rotates just like Basic ads, but the increased size draws immediate attention.

Our Premium Thumbnail upgrade is a great way to make your ads POP on our search results page, instantly increasing your exposure. Double your thumbnail size and you’re likely to double the attention you’ll get!

Slixa City Billboard

What it is:

Our City Ads appear at the top of the Slixa city pages, spanning the entire width of the page in the billboard area, giving you the MAXIMUM visible exposure in the city. City Ads are frequently randomized to give equal access to all advertisers who purchase this premium page position. Additionally with your huge billboard image, you get a Slixa Basic ad *secured* to the top rows of your selected city page.

Slixa National Billboard

What it is:

Our National Ad features you on the Slixa.com homepage in the billboard position and gives you a secured ad under “Featured”. What are the available Profile Upgrades?

Profile Upgrades let visitors know that you belong to a particular group. Some market themselves as VIP, XXX, Centerfold or a combination of the three. If this applies to you, Slixa offers upgraded profile features to distinguish you from others.

VIP Upgrade

Slixa’s VIP Profiles allows you to stand out from the crowd.

As a VIP you’ll receive an enhanced VIP profile page, a VIP badge on all ads site-wide and a highly prominent listing in your city’s popular VIP section. VIP is only an additional 2 credits per day!

Centerfold Upgrade

This upgrade indicates you’ve been featured as a model in magazines or on websites, and adds the Centerfold Badge to your profile. This upgrade is currently provided at no cost, however we recommend you provide the names of the magazines or websites you’ve been featured to give legitimacy to your status.

XXX Upgrade

This upgrade indicates you are a XXX actor who has starred in XXX movies and adds the XXX Badge to your profile. This upgrade is currently provided at no cost, however we recommend you provide the names of the movies you have been featured in to give legitimacy to your status.

What are credits and how do they work?

Our credit system allows for a great deal of flexibility. The credits in your account are not tied to any specific ad. So for example, you can pause a base ad and credits will stop being deducted while you’re running a visiting ad in another city. You are only charged for the days your ads run. At any time you can resume an ad, pause an ad or delete an ad.

Our available credit packages are:

$60 - 60 credits
$100 - 100 credits
$150 - 150 credits
$350 - 400 credits (includes 50 bonus credits)
$500 - 600 credits (includes 100 bonus credits)
$1000 - 1250 credits (includes 250 bonus credits)

As you can see, discounts are already built in. When you purchase large credit packages you can reduce your per credit cost by as much as 20%.

How do I edit my profile?

To edit your profile, just login to your your account and click on the Profile tab at the top of your dashboard, or click here for the direct link. Then just make the changes you want and be sure to click the blue “Save Profile & Publish” button at the bottom right of the page so your changes take effect.

What are Slixa’s Content Restrictions and Publishing standards?

Slixa has high standards for our profiles. You will be required to meet our minimum standards to have a live profile and City Listing on Slixa.

They include the following:

  • A thoroughly filled out profile
  • No t3xt sp34k! ;)
  • A minimum of 4 quality images

Before crafting your profile, please ensure you read and understand our Publishing Standards and Advertiser Agreement. These documents have been written to be easily understood, and violations can result in a permanent ban from the Slixa platform.

Your profile gallery appears on your public profile and can be seen by the public. You can include up to 12 pictures and videos.

Your media library can hold an unlimited number of photos and videos and can not be seen by the public. This is your private “storage” area of your photos. Your media library can be accessed by clicking on the “media” tab at the top of your dashboard when logged in to your account.

Can I include video on my profile?

Yes! You have the ability to embed videos from Youtube, and Vimeo. To do so, login into your account and select the Media tab at the top of your dashboard. In the upper right side next to the blue “upload photos” button you will see there are options to include videos from Youtube, And Vimeo… Click the appropriate button and it will ask for the link to your video. Just copy and paste the link to your video and it will appear as being available for inclusion in the gallery section of your public profile!

How do I create a New Ad?

To create an Ad, login to your account and click on the Ads tab at the top of your dashboard (or click here for the direct link). Click the blue “+New Ad” button on the top right of that page. Next, choose the “Local” or “National” option and the city or country you want to place your ad in. If you are choosing “local” then you will also choose the type of local Ad you want. Finally you will finish the process of selecting your categories and the image(s) you want to use for your ad and click “Save ad”.

If you have enough credits in your account, your ad will go live immediately. If you don’t have enough credits to activate the ad, you’ll be prompted to purchase credits, which will make it live immediately on the city page you selected.

How do I create a Visiting Ad?

To create a Visiting Ad, login to your account and click on the Ads tab at the top of your dashboard (or click here for the direct link). Click the blue “+New Ad” button on the top right of that page. Next, choose the “Local” or “National” option and the city or country you want to place your ad in. If you are choosing “local” then you will also choose the type of local Ad you want. Next, you will finish the process of selecting your categories and the image(s) you want to use for your ad, and under the “Upgrades” section, you will select “visiting” and enter your tour dates. To complete the process click “Save ad”.

If you have enough credits in your account, your ad will go live immediately. If you don’t have enough credits to activate the ad, you’ll be prompted to purchase credits, which will make it live immediately on the city page you selected.

This ad option will place a “Visiting” Icon on your ad in the city you are visiting, and your ad will automatically complete at the end of your tour.

Can I place Multiple Ads?

Yes, you are more than welcome to place as many ads as you like! You can create your primary ad in whichever city you live in, then add visiting ads to show your tour schedule. When a user looks at your profile, it will show all the cities you will be visiting and the dates you will be there. This allows for early booking and to let potential clients know when you will be in their area.

How do I Pause or Resume an Ad

To pause or resume an Ad, login to your account and click on the Ads tab at the top of your dashboard (or click here for the direct link). Hover over the image of the ad you want to pause/resume and a list of options will appear. Click on the “Pause Ad” option and credits will stop being deducted from your account until you resume the ad again. To resume your ad at anytime, select the “Resume Ad” option when hovering over the thumbnail image for your ad.

How do I Delete an Ad

To delete a paid ad, login to your account and click on the Ads tab at the top of your dashboard (or click here for the direct link). Hover over the image of the ad you want to delete and you’ll see the “Delete Ad” option. Click on the “Delete Ad” option and the ad will be deleted and credits will stop being deducted from your account for that ad.

What is Slixa policy regarding Agency accounts?
Agency accounts are not allowed on Slixa. Slixa accepts independent advertisers only. Independent advertisers must have their own contact details, and can not have the same contact info of another Slixa advertiser. Advertisers must have their own non-agency related email address and phone number. Advertisers are not allowed to link to any agency-style website but are allowed to link to a personal website.
What are Verified Photos?

Slixa Photo Verification is fast and easy and lets potential clients know that the photos displayed in your profile are an accurate representation of your true appearance. Please be aware that Photo Verification does not verify your identity; but rather your appearance. For instructions on getting your photos verified, login to your account and visit the “Verification” page within the “Settings” area of your account (or click here for the direct link).

What are Performance Stats?

Slixa delivers the most comprehensive performance stats in the industry.

Performance stats show you how well your ad is performing in near real time. This feature allows you to track the performance and conversion rates of all your ads.

We track the number of times people view your profile and also the number of times those visitors click on your external website links or contact info to possibly inquire about booking with you.

What are Incall Location maps and how do I use them?

Incall location maps can be seen on your profile under your listed city on the right-hand column of your profile. This map gives a 1.5 miles radius around the zipcode perimeter of your approximate incall location. This is an optional feature and not required if you select incall availability, but can mean extra visibility as it allows viewers to find your general area when searching by location.

If you would like an incall area map to appear on your profile, create a new ad or edit an existing one. Check “incall” under “Availability” and enter your incall zip/postal code, then click “Set location.” Be sure to save your edited ad at the bottom right so your changes take effect. A map will appear on your profile showing a 1.5 mile radius with your approximate location.

What do I do if Slixa requests age verification?

Slixa reserves the right to request age verification materials from any advertiser who appears to be 25 years of age or younger. Our policy is to require photo identification whenever an advertisers’s age is brought into question. Verification requires the presentation of a clear color copy of a government issued photo ID. Submitted IDs must be current, valid forms of legal identification supplied by a government office such as a driver’s license or passport. The ID must be valid when you submit it (not past the displayed expiration date) and the entire identification card (or identification page, if submitting a passport) must be clearly visible and not modified or obscured in any way.

Please scan a copy of your ID in color or take a digital color photo and upload it to our secure verification page.

Slixa takes the responsibility of handling your personal identification very seriously. The files you upload on the following link are immediately encrypted and securely stored off-site. Slixa’s secure verification page is the only safe way to submit your personal identification to Slixa. Please do NOT send it to us via email.

What’s the difference between a profile, a listing, and a paid ad?

Profile

A Slixa profile is your personal dedicated page that you customize with information about yourself and your services, and your photos. We think it’s impossible to find a better looking profile page than what we provide at Slixa!

Ads

A Slixa ad is a thumbnail you create and place on one (or all ) of our Slixa city pages that directs Slixa viewers to your profile. The ad creation process is a snap since you do not need to re-create a profile every time. Your ad or ads all point to the same profile!

The following features and benefits are available with all Slixa ads:

Listing

Listings appear at the bottom of the City page in order of sign up, with the newest signs ups appearing at the top of the listing section. Listings are not included in any categories, and do not give you access to any of the available features. Although your listing is live on city page and available to our viewers, we definitely recommend a paid ad for the best possible results. To be elgible for a Slixa Listing you need to be on Slixa 30 days or more and login once every 6 months.

What is “Recent”, and How Does It Work?

“Recent” is a feature on our city pages that highlights advertisers who keep their profiles and ads up to date with new content. We know that keeping content fresh increases profile views and contact clicks, and the Recent designation allows viewers to quickly find profiles containing new text and images. The “Recent” button allows visitors to filter advertisers who have recently updated content, placing the most recent ones at the top of the page.

Appearing at the top of the “Recent” section is a great way to get additional exposure for your ads and profile, and its free when you add new content to the site!

Getting marked as “Recent” is free with content updates, and you’ll immediately be bumped to the top of the Recent section in your city, remaining there for 7 days. There’s no limit on how often you can be bumped to the top of the Recent section, and no limit to how long you can stay Recent, so long as you continue to provide new content for your viewers.

To get the Recent designation to appear on your ads, and to be bumped to the top of the Recent section, complete any of the following:

  • Write a new headline in your profile editor (simple and fast!)
  • Upload a new cover photo, or add a new photo to your profile gallery
  • Rewrite (or edit significantly) the sections in your profile marked with a Fresh symbol
  • Upload a new ad image (by editing an existing ad or creating a new one)
What is the “Add to Profile Pages” Upgrade?

Your ad will appear on the profile page of members in your city who do not have a paid ad, driving additional traffic directly to your profile page.

How do Slixa Website Verification Badges work?

A Slixa badge on your website verifies you are the owner of your website.

Slixa members that are linking to their own web sites from their Slixa profile are encouraged to place a Slixa badge on at least one of their sites.

How do I get the Slixa badge on my website?

Simply, login to your account at the link below and you’ll be on our Profile Editor page.

Near the bottom of the page, where you added your website link, you’ll see a “Verify your website” button. Click that and you’ll see the various badge options. Select the one you wish and just copy and and paste the code it into the area of your site where you want the verification badge displayed.

How do I schedule a start date for a Slixa ad?

With Slixa’s ad scheduling feature, you can set the date you want your ad to start.

To “schedule” an ad, login to your Slixa account, click the ads tab, then click the blue “+New Ad” button, and select your location and ad type. Click next, then choose your ad thumbnail images and categories, and then just insert the date for your ad to go live in the “Scheduled Start” section, and click “save”. If you have enough credits in your account, your ad will activate on your chosen date!

You will not be charged any credits till your ad goes live on the selected date, and you can schedule up to a year in advance (neato)!

Please note that if you do not have credits in your account when the ad is scheduled to go live, the ad will remain in “pending” status.

How do I hide my profile?

Hiding your profile is free, and allows you to “pause” your Slixa presence while taking a temporary break or vacation. Your account will still be active, you can log in, make changes, and when you’re ready, you can resume it to pick up exactly where you left off.

Hiding your profile will replace your current profile page with a generic avatar image and the message “This user’s Slixa profile is currently inactive”. Your ads will be paused along with your profile, and you will not be charged for renewals or upgrades.

What is a Daily ad?

A Daily ad has the same level of exposure as a Basic ad without the minimum 60 credit purchase.

Daily ads enable advertisers to advertise for a short time period. Daily ads can be purchased for one day at a time, or for consecutive days.

As soon as a Daily ad, or consecutive Daily ads are purchased, the ad will go live and all credits are deducted immediately. Once the ad expires, a notification is sent with the option to purchase again.

You cannot pause a daily ad.

Daily ads are non-refundable.

What is Slixa’s policy regarding refunds?

Credit Refunds

It’s Slixa’s policy to do everything possible to make sure our customers are happy! If you ever have a problem or complaint related to your advertising, simply contact us by one of the above methods and bring it to our attention. We will work with you to resolve any issues immediately. In the rare case that we’re unable to satisfy your request, we will issue your account with an agreed number of credits. To request a credit refund, please contact us in one of the above ways.

Refunds

We have a 30 day money back guarantee on your first purchase of a 30 day Slixa Basic ad using a credit or debit card. If you are not happy with the results of your Slixa Basic ad after it has ran for 30 days, and it’s your first purchase with us, and you used a debit or credit card for the transaction, we will refund your purchase no questions asked.

We do not refund purchases made with Bitcoin or Retail gift cards.

We do not refund National, City Billboard, Premium, or Daily ad purchases.
